1. Introduction
3Gen Legacy Holdings LLC ("3Gen," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights you have, including how to request deletion of your account and data.
By using our website or apps (together, the "Services"), you acknowledge the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
2. Who We Are and Scope

An individual app may provide additional, app-specific privacy disclosures (for example, in its app store listing). Where those disclosures are more specific, they supplement this policy.

3.4 Information we do not intentionally collect
We do not intentionally collect precise geolocation, contacts, photos (other than files you choose to upload), health records, or financial account information. We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data as defined by applicable law unless you choose to provide it, and we ask that you not do so.
4. How We Use Information
We use personal information to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Services, including parsing syllabi, building your calendar, importing course data, and supporting clinical planning;
- Create and manage your account and authenticate you;
- Respond to support requests and communicate with you about the Services, including service and security notices;
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve the performance, reliability, and features of the Services;
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security incidents, and technical issues;
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
We do not sell your personal information, we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use your uploaded content to show you targeted ads.
5. AI Processing
Some features (such as syllabus parsing) use artificial intelligence to extract and organize information from content you provide. To deliver these features, the relevant content may be sent to AI service providers that process it on our behalf. We use such providers to provide the feature to you, and we do not authorize them to use your content to train their general-purpose models where we are able to make that election. AI-generated output may contain errors; please review dates and details for accuracy.
6. How We Share Information
We share personal information only as described below:
- Service providers: vendors who perform services on our behalf, such as cloud hosting and storage, databases, authentication, AI processing, email delivery, analytics, and crash reporting. They may use personal information only to provide services to us.
- Affiliated ventures: other businesses owned or controlled by 3Gen Legacy Holdings LLC, only as needed to operate and support the Services and consistent with this policy.
- Integrations you choose: when you connect a third-party service (such as Canvas), information is exchanged with that service as needed to perform the action you requested.
- Legal and safety: when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of users, the public, or 3Gen Legacy Holdings LLC.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to this policy's protections.
- With your consent: for any other purpose with your permission.
7. Third-Party Services
The Services may link to or integrate with third-party websites and services, including app stores, sign-in providers, and learning management systems. Those third parties have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their practices. We encourage you to review their policies.
8. Children's Privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. StudyTriage is designed for college and nursing students. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Services only with the involvement of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it.
9. Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy:
| Data | Retention |
|---|---|
| Account information and content you upload or import | For as long as your account is active. Deleted within 30 days after you delete your account or we confirm a deletion request. |
| Backups | Removed from backups on their normal rotation, generally within 90 days of deletion. |
| Support communications | Up to 24 months after the request is resolved, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. |
| Diagnostics and usage logs | Generally up to 12 months, or in de-identified or aggregated form that can no longer identify you. |
| Records required by law | As long as required to comply with legal, tax, accounting, or dispute-resolution obligations. |
10. Account and Data Deletion
You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time, without having to reinstall an app.
- Email [email protected] from the email address associated with your account, with the subject line "Account Deletion Request."
- Tell us which app the request relates to (for example, StudyTriage) and the email address on the account.
- We may ask you to confirm the request to verify that you own the account.
Once verified, we will delete your account and associated personal data within 30 days, except data we are legally required to retain (see Section 9). Where an app offers an in-app deletion option, you may use that as well. You can also request deletion of specific data without deleting your account. Full instructions are on our Delete Account & Data page.
11. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you and obtain a portable copy;
- Correct inaccurate personal information;
- Delete your personal information;
- Opt out of the sale of personal information, targeted advertising, or profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects (we do not engage in these activities);
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and
- Not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.
To exercise any right, email [email protected]. We will verify your request using information associated with your account and respond within 45 days (extendable once by 45 days where permitted by law, with notice to you). You may use an authorized agent where permitted by law; we may require proof of the agent's authority. You may also manage marketing emails, if any, using the unsubscribe link in each message.
12. State Privacy Rights (California, Texas, and Others)
12.1 California (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, gives you the rights described in Section 11, including the right to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it. In the preceding 12 months we have collected these categories: identifiers (such as name and email); internet or other electronic network activity (usage and diagnostics); education information you choose to provide (such as course and assignment details); and inferences limited to organizing your study plan. We collect them from the sources and for the purposes described in Sections 3 and 4, and disclose them for business purposes only to the categories of recipients in Section 6. We do not sell or share personal information (as those terms are defined under the CCPA), and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that would require offering a right to limit.
12.2 Texas (Texas Data Privacy and Security Act)
If you are a Texas resident, the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA) gives you the right to confirm whether we process your personal data, access it, correct inaccuracies, delete it, obtain a portable copy, and opt out of the sale of personal data, targeted advertising, and certain profiling. We do not sell personal data, and we do not process sensitive personal data without your consent. You may submit a request at [email protected].
Appeals: if we decline to take action on your request, you may appeal by emailing [email protected] with the subject line "Privacy Request Appeal" within a reasonable time after our decision. We will respond to your appeal within 60 days and explain our decision in writing. If your appeal is denied, you may contact the Texas Attorney General at texasattorneygeneral.gov.
12.3 Other U.S. states
Residents of other states with comprehensive privacy laws (such as Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Oregon, and Utah) may have similar rights. We honor these requests as required by applicable law using the process in Section 11, including the appeal process above.
13. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption of data in transit (HTTPS/TLS), access controls that limit data access to those who need it, and use of reputable infrastructure providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we learn of a security breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and authorities as required by law.
14. International Users
We are based in the United States, and our Services are operated from the United States. If you use the Services from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the U.S., where data protection laws may differ from those in your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide notice through the Services or by email before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Services after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy.
